On the coach's website, you can clone an existing workout to another workout track or schedule it for a future date if it is a workout you want to repeat. Cloning an existing workout will copy the exact workout and any coach's notes that have been added. Cloned workouts will appear in the History tab when selecting to view the workout.
Clone a single workout:
Method 1:
- Locate the workout you would like to clone by scrolling through your Programming Calendar. Note: Using the search bar to drag and drop the workout will only find the workout details and will not include any coach's notes or add to the workout history.
- Select the Cloning button
located in the bottom right corner of the workout
- Select the Workout Track and Date for the cloned workout to be copied
- Keeping the box checked for Custom workouts and their copies will be linked via history will allow athletes to view previous results on custom workouts you have created. You should use this option if you are not planning on making any changes to the workout. If you are planning to make any changes to the workout uncheck the box. The workouts will still be cloned, but will not link past results.
Method 2:
- On the Programming Calendar page, select the workout to view. You will see the Workout Definition tab with the workout details and coach's notes
- Select the Publishing tab
- Scroll to the Clone Workout box. Select the Date and Workout Track the workout should be copied

- Benchmark and barbell workouts will always be linked via history.
- Checking the box for Custom workouts and their copies will be linked via history will allow athletes to view previous results on custom workouts you have created. Leaving the box unchecked will still clone the workouts, but will not link past results.
How To Link Workouts
- When you're cloning a custom workout there is a checkbox that says 'custom workouts and their copies will be linked via history' where people can now choose to link or not before actually cloning (a use case of this is if you know you're going to drastically change something)
Editing Linked Workouts
- An icon will appear on linked workouts showing that their history is linked.
- The Linked Workout message will appear when editing a linked workout. This serves as a reminder that the workout is linked and changes to one specific instance will not change all of the previously done workouts. If you would like to continue with editing, click the Edit this Workout button and all fields will become editable. You can make changes to the Coaches and Athletes notes without having to click the Edit this Workout button.
Unlinking Workouts
- On the History tab for a custom workout, you can now, UNLINK workouts (only if the workout is not a benchmark, once it's a benchmark you cannot unlink). You can do this on the history tab in the Actions column.
Please note: Once you unlink a workout, you cannot re-link.
