The "Gym Owner" in SugarWOD is the individual who has purchased the SugarWOD monthly recurring subscription for their gym. The account used to purchase the subscription is the only account that can update billing information or make Marketplace purchases.
NOTE: Transferring ownership of the SugarWOD Account does NOT transfer ownership of class programming from the Marketplace. If you have subscriptions on your account for class programming please cancel before the transfer request, as the new account owner will need to sign up for the programming once the transfer is complete.
Gym owners can transfer their gym's SugarWOD account to a new owner. This can be for a number of reasons. i.e. They sold the gym, they want their gym manger to handle the account, etc.
PLEASE NOTE: Transferring an existing account's ownership gives the new owner access to all previous workout history in the gym. If you prefer the new owner not to have access to previous workouts, simply cancel your account and the new owner can create their own gym in SugarWOD.
To transfer the gym's account ownership:
- Make sure the new account owner has a SugarWOD account and has joined your gym. If not, have them create a SugarWOD account and join your gym. Please make sure this has been done before requesting the account transfer.
- Email email@example.com from the current owner's email address authorizing the transfer.
- Include the name and email address of the new account owner and cc them on the email. Please use the email address the new owner has used to create their SugarWOD account in your gym.
